The Department of Military Science is actively looking for high-quality scholars, athletes, and leaders to enter our challenging TWO-YEAR officer commissioning program. While our university prepares you scholastically, we will provide you with the leadership training that will put you well ahead of your peers at graduation. If you have ever given any thought to becoming an Army officer, now is the time! Given your number of credit hours completed, you are quickly approaching your last opportunity to enroll the Army ROTC program at Texas Tech. We would like to make you more aware of this top-notch leadership training opportunity offered on our campus.
SLOTS TO THE LEADER’S TRAINING COURSE ARE NOW AVAILABLE – call now as these limited training slots fill quickly!
We are currently processing students for enrollment in our Leader's Training Course (LTC) this summer. LTC is a paid 4-week summer training course at Ft. Knox, KY. It essentially “CLEPs” you out of the first two years of ROTC (the freshman & sophomore classes you have missed) and will make you eligible for our Advanced Course (junior & senior-level MILS classes) – qualifying you to receive a generous monthly ROTC stipend ($350 for juniors, $400 for seniors). The Army picks up all costs for this training and gives you a paycheck as well. LTC slots are now open for scheduling and time is now critical to ensure smooth processing under this option.
2-YEAR ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS FOR LTC GRADUATES:
News just released by our Commanding General - we can now offer 2-year ROTC Scholarships to all LTC graduates who are otherwise eligible (these scholarships cover 100% of TTU tuition OR an equivalent amount for room & board, plus $900 a year for textbooks and a monthly stipend of $350).
