We also have two-year and three-year ROTC scholarships available to students already in college. The applications for these scholarships are available at the Texas Tech Department of Military Science, as well as many other universities across the country. We offer four-year and three-year advanced designee scholarships to high school seniors. The application deadline for the scholarships is 15 November. If you are a High School Senior interested in applying for one of these scholarships contact your school's guidance counselor or call (806) 742-2141. There is even a scholarship for cadets who know they want to participate in the Army Reserve or National Guard (GRFD and Reserve Scholarships).

Current College Student Scholarships
The Red Raider Battalion has several 2 and 3 year scholarships designated for the battalion. This means that once you have taken some college courses and proven yourself you can earn a scholarship through the ROTC Department. This is a competitive selection process but it is a good way to earn a full scholarship.
Two Year ScholarshipsThe Following are the qualification criteria for the two year scholarship:
US citizen
Have two years of school remaining
Must have attended MILS 1101 and 2101 or attend Leaders Training Camp or have prior military service
GPA of 2.5
Previously attended a university
Pursue an Army approved academic major
Agree to accept a commission in the Regular Army, Army National Guard or the US Army Reserves
Meet physical standards
Selection is based on:
GPA
Extra-curricular, leadership and athletic abilities
Personal interview with the Raider Battalion Selection Board
Physical Aptitude Examination
The Following are the qualification criteria for the three year scholarship:
US citizen
Have three years of school remaining
SAT score of 920 or ACT composite score of 19
GPA of 2.5
Previously attended a university
Pursue an Army approved academic major
Agree to accept a commission in the Regular Army, Army National Guard or the US Army Reserves
Meet physical standards
Selection is based on:
GPA
Extra-curricular, leadership and athletic abilities
Personal interview with the Raider Battalion Selection Board
Physical Aptitude Examination
Meet the following qualification criteria to apply for the four year scholarship:
US citizen
Be accepted as an academic freshman and be granted all required waivers.
Take the SAT or ACT before November of the year you apply
SAT score of 850 or ACT composite score of 19
Good high school grades
Participation leadership, extra-curricular, and athletic activities
High school graduate or equivalent
Pursue an Army approved academic major
Agree to accept a commission in the Regular Army, Army National Guard or the US Army Reserves
Meet physical standards
Selection is based on:
ACT/SAT test
School official's evaluation
Extra-curricular, leadership and athletic abilities
Personal interview with the Professor of Military Science
Physical Aptitude Examination
